JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF, BMP, AVIF · any number of files · processed on your device, never uploaded
Amazon suppresses listings whose images fail its technical requirements, and the rejection email rarely says which rule you broke. This checker runs the same tests Seller Central applies — minimum resolution for zoom, file size, format, aspect ratio — plus the two main-image rules that cause most suppressions: a pure white background and a product that fills at least 85% of the frame.
Everything happens in your browser. Photos are never uploaded, so you can check a whole product line, including unreleased items, without worrying where the files go.
Amazon product images: the numbers
Checked against the sources below on 2026-09-06. Full comparison on the size requirements table.
| Recommended size | 2000 × 2000 px (1:1) |
|---|---|
| Minimum | 1000 px on the longest side (1600 px+ recommended) |
| Maximum | 10000 px on the longest side |
| Widest ratio | 5:1 |
| File size | up to 10.00 MB |
| Formats | JPEG (preferred), PNG, TIFF, non-animated GIF |
| Main image background | Pure white, RGB 255/255/255 |
| Main image fill | Product spans 85%+ of the frame |
| Main image content | No text, logos, watermarks, borders or props |
- Zoom only activates when the longest side is at least 1000 px; Amazon recommends 1600 px or more.
- The main image must be the product on a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), filling 85% or more of the frame, with no text, logos, watermarks or props.
- Additional images may show lifestyle scenes, infographics and close-ups.

How it works
- 01
Drop your product photos
Add one image or a whole product line. JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and GIF are all read locally.
- 02
Read the checklist
Each photo gets a pass/warn/fail line per Amazon rule, with the measured value next to the requirement.
- 03
Fix and download
Apply the Amazon preset to everything that failed, then download the corrected files or a zip.
What Amazon actually checks
Resolution: the longest side must be at least 1000 px for the zoom feature to work, and Amazon recommends 1600 px or more. The hard ceiling is 10,000 px. Most sellers upload 2000 × 2000 px squares.
File: JPEG is preferred; PNG, TIFF and non-animated GIF are accepted. Files over 10 MB are rejected. Colour must be RGB or CMYK — sRGB JPEG is the safe choice.
Main image: pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), the product filling 85% or more of the frame, no text, logos, watermarks, borders, props or inset images, and no illustrations or placeholders. The widest allowed aspect ratio is 5:1.
How the white-background and fill tests work
The checker samples a ring of pixels around the edge of the photo and reports the share that is near-pure white. A real white sweep shot scores 95%+; an off-white or grey backdrop scores far lower and will be flagged, because Amazon's automated review treats anything but 255/255/255 as a coloured background.
For fill, it finds the bounding box of every non-white pixel and compares its longest side with the image's longest side. Amazon wants 85% or more. If your product sits small in a large white canvas, the fix is a tighter crop — this tool will not crop for you, because it cannot know where your product ends and its shadow begins.
What "Fix for Amazon" does
It scales the photo down to 2000 px on the longest side (never up), pads it to a 1:1 square with pure white, flattens any transparency to white, and saves a JPEG under 10 MB. Photos that are too small remain flagged: upscaling produces the soft, artefact-laden images Amazon's reviewers reject, so shoot or export at a higher resolution instead.
Questions
- Does this upload my photos to Amazon or to Glowya?
- Neither. The checks and the fixes run in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing leaves your device, which is why the tool works offline once the page has loaded.
- Can it make my background pure white?
- It flattens transparency and padding to pure white, and it tells you if the existing backdrop is off-white. It does not cut the product out of a coloured background — that needs a background remover, and for main images Amazon expects a real white sweep photo or a clean cut-out.
- Why is 85% fill flagged when my product looks big enough?
- Amazon measures the product's longest dimension against the frame's longest dimension. Tall, thin products in a square frame often fill only 60–70% horizontally; crop tighter or shoot the product at an angle that uses more of the frame.
- Will the fixed image lose quality?
- Scaling down and re-encoding at JPEG quality 92 is visually lossless for product photography. The tool never upscales, so it cannot invent detail that was not in the original.
